Lincoln Park is a historic urban park located in central El Paso, Texas. Established in the early 20th century, the park spans several acres and sits beneath the intersection of Interstate 10 and U.S. Highway 54, giving it a unique setting under elevated freeway structures.
Renowned Mural Collection
The park is known for its vibrant collection of murals painted on the concrete pillars supporting the highways above. These colorful murals, created by local Chicano artists since the early 1980s, depict cultural themes and historical figures important to El Paso's Mexican-American community.
The murals have made Lincoln Park a center for Chicano art and culture in the city.
Recreational Amenities
In addition to its artistic significance, Lincoln Park provides recreational space for the surrounding neighborhood. The park features green areas for relaxation and play, as well as paved walking paths.

Historical Significance
Lincoln Park also has historical importance, as it is located near the site of one of the first schools for Mexican-American and African-American children in the area in the early 1900s.
Though that original school building no longer stands, the park continues to serve as an important gathering place for the local community.
