Located in the Eastwood Heights neighborhood of El Paso, Texas, Travis White Park is a secluded place about 10 miles east of downtown. This peaceful retreat offers a refreshing escape from city life with its gentle rolling hills and lush, well-kept grassy areas that create a perfect backdrop for outdoor adventures.

The park is especially nice at dawn and dusk - the views are quite beautiful, making early morning visits or evening strolls worth considering.

Disc Golf Haven

If you're into disc golf (or want to try it out), this park has options for you. The park houses a relatively new disc golf course established in 2019, featuring 9 baskets and 9 holes that provide just enough challenge without being overwhelming.

This course is perfect if you're just getting your feet wet in the disc golf world. While locals consider it one of El Paso's finest courses, a heads-up: the signage and tee markers could use some improvement. Still, the course layout makes for an enjoyable round regardless of your skill level.

Family Fun Zone

The park features a newly-renovated playground area. It's larger than most in the area and has modern play structures protected by a canopy to shield from the Texas sun.

The playground offers interactive features that appeal to children of different ages, but it's worth noting that some swings and ride attractions aren't under the canopy's shade. Nevertheless, it's a spot where the little ones can safely burn off energy while parents watch from nearby shaded areas.

Relaxation Spots

Across the park, you can find several covered picnic tables fantastic for everything from family lunches to casual meet-ups with friends. What makes some of these tables unique is their built-in chess and checkerboard tops - bring your game pieces and enjoy a strategic battle in the fresh air!

The walking paths winding through the grounds offer a scenic route for your morning jog or afternoon walk. When the temperature climbs, the numerous shade trees provide welcome relief and are ideally spaced for hanging hammocks if you're looking to really unwind.

Practical Details

The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to 11PM and offers plenty of parking for those arriving by car.

When nature calls, you'll discover a porta-potty in the parking area that's kept in decent condition. Dog parents will appreciate that four-legged friends are welcome (on leash), with waste stations conveniently placed throughout the grounds.

Community Value

Travis White Park functions as a versatile community space. While the hilly terrain means you won't find baseball fields or soccer pitches here, the landscape works well for casual frisbee games, kite flying, or simply sitting back and enjoying the natural surroundings.
