Situated on Golden Forest Drive in Houston, Forest West Park is a 6.16-acre green space in the neighborhood. Sitting right beside Clifton Middle School, this park is both a welcoming gateway to the neighborhood and a place where local life unfolds daily.

Fresh Face for a Beloved Space

In 2023, Forest West got quite the makeover thanks to Mayor Sylvester Turner's 50/50 Park Partners initiative. The transformation wasn't just a touch-up - it was comprehensive. The walking trails were completely repaved, play areas received significant upgrades, and eco-friendly solar-powered lighting now illuminates evening visits.

The renovation didn't stop there. The playground equipment was entirely replaced, fresh sod gave the grounds new life, and a protective fence along the street added an extra layer of safety. New benches and picnic tables were scattered throughout, creating perfect spots to relax or gather.

The playground is definitely a highlight - completely modernized during the recent renovations, it's where neighborhood kids can climb, slide, and play to their hearts' content.

A smooth, paved walking track loops around the park, offering an ideal circuit for your morning jog or evening stroll. Since its recent repaving, it's become even more popular with both walkers and cyclists looking to get some exercise.
