As of 2023, Stewart Park is sporting some nice new additions, including a modern playground and an open multi-use field. The city hasn't stopped there - plans also include adding some much-needed shaded seating areas and a new walking trail to round out the park experience.

Playground Scene

The playground here is in tip-top shape, featuring several slides and swings with benches positioned nearby where parents can keep an eye on the action. If you've got kids around 5 and older, they'll particularly appreciate the play structure, which offers plenty to keep them engaged.

Here's a cool insider tip: just two blocks down, you'll discover another play area featuring what locals consider the tallest slides in town. This second playground has a fully enclosed tower for safety, with impressive slides reaching about 10 feet high - definitely a highlight for adventure-seeking kids.

Getting Active

Besides the playground, the park features a spacious multi-use field meant for impromptu games of frisbee, soccer, or whatever sport strikes your fancy. Basketball enthusiasts haven't been forgotten either - there's a basketball court just a block away from the main park area.
