Historic Roots

Walter Hall Park is a spacious 86-acre public park located along Clear Creek in League City, Texas. Originally established as the Galveston County Poor Farm in 1887, the land was repurposed and dedicated as a county park in 1928.

In 1985, it was renamed Walter Hall Park in honor of Walter Gardner Hall, a prominent local banker and civic leader who made significant contributions to League City's development.
