Firemen's Park offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. The park's centerpiece is a 3-acre lake, providing a scenic backdrop for leisurely strolls and outdoor relaxation.

A half-mile paved trail encircles the lake, making it an ideal location for walking, jogging, or casual biking. This trail is connected to the city's 2nd Street Hike and Bike trail, allowing for extended excursions through McAllen.

Amenities for Families

One of the park's main attractions is its playground, which provides a safe and enjoyable space for children to play. For those interested in water activities, the park offers boat and kayak rentals, allowing visitors to explore the lake.

Firemen's Park also includes picnic areas with tables and grills, making it a perfect spot for family outings or casual gatherings.

Event Spaces and Sports

The park's large pavilion, capable of accommodating up to 250 people, can be rented for events and includes amenities such as a refrigerator, indoor grill, and restrooms.

For sports enthusiasts, the park offers a sand volleyball court. Fishing is also permitted in the lake, though it is strictly catch-and-release, and cast nets are not allowed.
