Nestled in McKinney, Texas, Prestwyck Park spans a generous 17 acres within the Prestwyck subdivision. This nearby retreat opened its gates in February 2022 after a $3.3 million makeover.

You'll come across it near the intersection of University Drive and Coit Road, right next to Hughes Elementary School (a Prosper ISD campus) - ideal for families looking to squeeze in some outdoor fun after school hours.

Features and Amenities

Prestwyck Park offers a lovely mix of busy and chill spaces. There's plenty of green area where you can toss a frisbee, kick a soccer ball around, or even set up an impromptu cricket match if that's your thing.

The walking trails meander through the grounds, offering a peaceful escape for your daily steps. If you're looking to level up your workout, check out the fitness stations dotted along the paths - they're great for mixing cardio and strength training without the gym membership!

Kids absolutely light up at the modern playground area, which smartly caters to different age groups. Parents will appreciate the shade structures covering the play equipment - no more scorching hot slides in the summer!

The playground's zipline is a definite crowd-pleaser, with children lining up for "just one more turn" before heading home. When Texas heat hits hard, the splash pad becomes the park's social hub.

A couple of practical notes: parking can be tricky as spaces are limited. The neighboring community pool parking is for residents only (and yes, they do enforce towing, especially during summer).

Also, plan accordingly as there are no restroom facilities in the park. Prestwyck Park welcomes visitors daily from 5:30 AM to 11 PM, offering a lovely green retreat for McKinney residents year-round.

Dog owners, feel free to bring your leashed furry friends for a walk, but keep in mind this isn't a designated off-leash dog park.
