Fasken Park

Recreational Facilities

The recently renovated playground is a highlight of Fasken Park, with thoughtfully designed separate areas for the little ones (toddlers) and bigger kids ages 5-12. It's nice to see a park that recognizes different age groups need different play experiences.

At 3.4 acres in Midland, Texas, the park offers a variety of recreational options in a surprisingly peaceful setting - a welcome retreat from the Texas heat and hustle.

Sports Spots

If you're into staying active, Fasken has you covered. The basketball courts see plenty of action on weekends, while the baseball and softball fields offer plenty of space for organized games or casual practice sessions.

The soccer fields provide another option for team sports, and there's no shortage of open green space for impromptu games of T-ball, tossing a frisbee, or letting your four-legged friend play some fetch (just remember to keep them leashed).

Comfort Features

Texas sun can be intense, which makes the park's 3-4 picnic areas with ample shade absolute lifesavers. These spots are meant for family gatherings, casual lunches, or simply taking a breather between activities.

You'll discover drinking water facilities throughout the park, making it easy to stay hydrated. One thing to note, though - there are no public restrooms on site, so plan accordingly before your visit.

Fitness Opportunities

The addition of adult exercise equipment sets Fasken apart from many neighborhood parks. It's refreshing to have outdoor fitness options that don't involve a gym membership, whether you're looking to get in a quick workout or supplement your jogging routine.

Unique Landscape

What gives this park its character is the interesting bowl-shaped terrain that creates natural contours throughout the space. This distinctive feature makes the park feel larger than its actual size and creates nice vantage points to keep an eye on kids at play.

The well-kept green grass that carpets the park deserves mention - it's consistently maintained and adds to the clean, inviting feel that makes Fasken a neighborhood favorite.
