Found in the heart of Midland, Sidwell Park spans 5.3 acres of green space where locals can breathe a little easier and stretch their legs.

A walking path traces the park's edges, well-suited for your morning jog or an evening stroll to clear your head. The open grassy areas invite you to toss a frisbee, have an impromptu picnic, or simply lie back and watch the clouds drift by.

Playground Area

Kids have their own little corner of fun at Sidwell's playground. It's not enormous, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in comfort - several shade trees stand guard over the play equipment, offering a much-needed break from that relentless Texas sunshine.

It's a handy spot for neighborhood families to let the little ones burn off some energy without traveling far from home.

Recent Improvements

The park got a green boost in November 2020 when 35 new trees were planted along the walking path. This joint effort between Diamondback Resources, the City of Midland, Keep Midland Beautiful, and Midland Treekeepers has significantly enhanced the park's appeal.

These trees aren't just pretty to look at - they provide crucial shade that makes summer visits much more bearable in the Texas heat.

Sidwell Park provides an accessible patch of nature where you can escape without going far from home.

Neighbors often connect here while enjoying some fresh air. If you're around on Sundays, you might catch sight of children's fun runs, bringing smiles to both the young participants and the adults cheering from the sidelines.
