Somerset Park

Park Overview

Somerset Park has a reputation for being clean and refreshingly uncrowded - an ideal spot where families can spread out and relax without feeling cramped. This laid-back 9.61-acre neighborhood favorite off Taron Cove in Round Rock, Texas, is one of those places locals appreciate for its simple charm and accessibility.

Trails and Pathways

For those looking to get some exercise, Somerset Park has a 0.20-mile paved trail that meanders through the natural landscape. It's nothing ambitious - just a pleasant path ideal for a morning jog, an evening stroll, or a casual walk to clear your head. Grandparents in the area have discovered it's an ideal setup - they can enjoy a leisurely walk while keeping an eye on the little ones playing nearby. The path is well-maintained and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Recreational Facilities

Sport enthusiasts will appreciate the full basketball court where you can shoot some hoops or get a pickup game going with friends. For the younger crowd, the playscape area is a highlight, with equipment specifically designed for children between one and five years old. The playground thoughtfully caters to both toddlers and school-aged kids, with different zones for various ages. Kids seem to gravitate toward the sandbox - it's amazing how something so simple can provide hours of entertainment for little ones.

Picnic Areas

Several picnic tables and barbecue grills are scattered throughout the park for meal times. While not massive, the picnic area comfortably fits about two families at once - great for a casual lunch, a weekend cookout, or celebrating a child's birthday in the fresh air. The tranquil setting makes for a pleasant outdoor dining experience.
