About the Location
Play & Sports Areas
Westpointe Park stretches across several acres, giving you plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the outdoors. Whether you want to kick around a soccer ball or swing for the fences, there are facilities for both activities.
The park has two soccer fields and a baseball field that accommodate both organized leagues and casual players. The baseball diamond is kept in great shape and often hosts impromptu kickball games when it's not being used for America's favorite pastime.
Basketball fans can shoot hoops at the full-court basketball area, while tennis players can serve it up on two well-maintained courts that local players seem to love.
A walking path circles the entire park, great for getting your steps in or enjoying a leisurely stroll. Just a heads up - the path has a few bumpy sections, but it's still great for walking, jogging, or letting the kids zoom around on their scooters.
Family Fun
If you've got little ones in tow, the modern playground area is a must-visit spot. It's designed with safety in mind while still being genuinely fun for kids of all ages. The equipment is sturdy enough that parents can join in without feeling like they're about to break something!
Westpointe Park is a popular community gathering place. The pavilion can be reserved for events, making it fantastic for everything from birthday parties to family reunions. It's become something of a local hotspot for family picnics and carne asada cookouts.
For those planning events, the pavilion does have power outlets, but keep in mind they're limited to 15 amps.
Good to Know
You'll come across restroom facilities and a drinking fountain attached to the restroom building. The bathrooms are typically clean and well-maintained - always a plus for a public park.
Parking is plentiful, so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot. The grounds are kept tidy with minimal litter, which makes spending time here all the more pleasant.
The park welcomes visitors daily from 5AM to 11PM, with court lighting available until 9:00 PM. This extended schedule means you can squeeze in some recreation even after work or school.
For Pet Owners
Dog lovers, rejoice! Westpointe Park offers large grassy areas where your four-legged friends can stretch their legs. Just note that after rain, some sections can get a bit marshy, so your pup might come home muddier than expected. One nice thing about this park is that pet owners tend to be respectful and responsible, creating a positive environment for everyone - furry friends included.
