About Ruby Tucker Park in Alexandria

Ruby Tucker Park is a small public green space located in the Potomac Yard neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia. The park was developed in 2002 as part of the Preston condominium project and is maintained by the condominium association.

Named after Ruby Tucker, a tireless community advocate known as the "Queen of Lynhaven," the park serves as a gateway to the Lynhaven neighborhood where Tucker lived and worked for decades. Ruby Tucker was a passionate founding member, deaconess, and missionary of the First Agape Baptist Community of Faith of Alexandria, where she served as a faithful member.

The park is open from sunrise to sunset, providing local residents with a space for relaxation and outdoor activities. While relatively small in size, Ruby Tucker Park offers a few basic amenities for visitors to enjoy.
