About Fox Fire Park
What You'll Find Here
Set in Virginia Beach, Foxfire Park serves the Foxfire neighborhood community. This public recreational area gives you a chance to unwind while enjoying the natural beauty of West Neck Creek with its serene wetland views.
Trail Connections
The park connects to the newer Foxfire Trail, a paved 0.91-mile path well-suited for a leisurely stroll or bike ride. This trail creates a safe passage from Virginia Beach's Municipal Center all the way to the Foxfire/Seaboard neighborhoods.
One of the coolest features here is the pedestrian bridge spanning West Neck Creek. It's thoughtfully designed with enough space underneath for canoes and kayaks to pass through. If you're into paddling, note that this bridge connects you to the Dozier Bridge Canoe/Kayak Launch about a mile upstream.
A Touch of History
There's something special about walking the Foxfire Trail - you're actually following the path of an old railway line, stepping right through a piece of local history.
The park and trail are part of Virginia Beach's network of bikeways and trails, contributing to the city's goal of having parks within a 10-minute walk from every neighborhood.
