About Marshview Park in Virginia Beach

Marshview Park is a 100-acre natural area located in the Oceanfront district of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The park is situated between the neighborhoods of Lands End Condominiums, Salt Marsh Point, Seatack, and Shadowlawn. It offers visitors a unique blend of recreational amenities and natural environments, centered around Lake Rudee.

The park features a network of trails, including both paved and unpaved options. In 2020-2021, Phase I of the Marshview Master Plan was completed, which introduced several new amenities to the park. Among these additions were dog parks, parking lots, asphalt trails, and playgrounds.

One of the park's notable features is its mountain biking trail system, developed in partnership with the Eastern Virginia Mountain Biking Association (EVMA). This trail system, spanning 4-5 miles, offers varying lengths and skill levels for mountain bikers. It includes trailhead maps, wayfinding signage, and mile markers to ensure visitor safety.

Marshview Park is open daily from dawn to dusk, providing ample opportunity for visitors to enjoy its natural beauty and recreational offerings. The park's wooded areas and proximity to Lake Rudee offer unique environmental experiences and opportunities for wildlife observation.
