About the Location

River Views & Relaxation

Located along the Snohomish River in Everett, Washington, Rotary Park spans 11.3 acres of riverside greenspace. Adopted by the Everett Rotary, this spot provides a nice escape from the daily grind without having to venture far from the city.

The views of mountains meeting river create a naturally calming backdrop. There's something almost meditative about spending time here, whether you're actively exploring or just sitting back to soak in the scenery.

Launch Your Adventure

The main feature of Rotary Park is its boat launch facility, giving you access to the Snohomish River system. Perfect for small river boats between 12 and 18 feet, the setup includes two lanes with a central dock for easy water access.

Just a heads-up: you'll want to check the tide charts before heading out. The launch works best at tides of +1.5 or higher, as low tides can expose some rather unfriendly sandbars and stumps. The dock also makes a great jumping-off point for Sea-Doos and other personal watercraft if that's more your speed.

Practical Park Perks

No need to stress about parking - the park offers paved spaces for 35 vehicles with trailers, plus overflow parking along the roadway shoulder for about 10 more. While vault restrooms are available near the boat launch, they don't have running water, so you might want to toss some hand sanitizer in your bag before heading out.

Get Moving

Cabin fever getting you down? The park connects to the Lowell Riverfront Trail, offering a flat, accessible path for walking, biking, or strolling with your four-legged friend. As you move along the trail, you'll be treated to those same gorgeous mountain and river views that make this place special.

If fishing is more your thing, cast a line from designated areas within the park. Lucky visitors have even spotted sea lions that made the journey upriver from Puget Sound - a rather unexpected sight this far inland!

Picnic Paradise

Scattered along the riverfront are several picnic tables that make perfect spots to enjoy a packed lunch or casual dinner. There's something especially satisfying about munching on a sandwich while watching the river flow by - simple pleasures at their finest.

Dog-Lover's Delight

If you're a dog person, you'll feel right at home here. The park features a designated off-leash area where your pup can burn off some energy and make new furry friends. It's refreshing to see that most pet parents here are responsible about leashing in required areas and cleaning up after their dogs.

Before You Visit

The City of Everett Parks department has implemented a "Pack It In Pack It Out" policy, so plan to take any trash with you when you leave - a small effort that helps keep this peaceful spot beautiful for everyone.

What really stands out about Rotary Park is its tranquil vibe. Regardless of whether you're looking for a quiet morning walk or a peaceful place to watch the sunset, you'll find your own little glimpse of calm here. It manages to feel private while still maintaining that welcoming community park atmosphere - no small feat in today's busy world.
