Historic Origins
Corbin Park is a historic 11-acre park located in the Emerson-Garfield neighborhood of Spokane, Washington. The park sits on the site of the former Washington-Idaho Fair Association fairgrounds and horse racing track from the late 19th century.
In 1899, railroad magnate D.C. Corbin acquired the property and donated it to the city for use as a public park.
Distinctive Features
The park features an oval shape that reflects its history as a race track. It is surrounded by historic homes built in the early 20th century, many of which are part of the Corbin Park Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Mature trees provide shade throughout the grassy park grounds.
