Manito Park is a 90-acre public park located in the South Hill neighborhood of Spokane, Washington. Established in 1904, it has evolved from an undeveloped recreational area to one of Spokane's primary showplaces, attracting over 150,000 visitors annually.
The park's terrain gradually rises about 100 feet from north to south, creating areas commonly referred to as "upper" and "lower" Manito. This topography, along with the park's many tall, native ponderosa pines and other trees, contributes to its scenic beauty.
Distinguished Gardens
The park features five distinct garden areas: the Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden, Duncan Garden, Rose Hill, Lilac Garden, and Ferris Perennial Garden. These gardens showcase a diverse range of horticultural displays, earning the park national recognition for its botanical collections.
At the heart of Manito Park is the Gaiser Conservatory, a greenhouse that houses tropical plants and succulents, offering visitors a chance to experience diverse plant life year-round. The park also includes Mirror Pond, a popular spot for observing ducks and other waterfowl.

Manito Park provides ample recreational opportunities with its spacious lawns, playgrounds, and walking and biking paths.
Throughout the year, Manito Park hosts various community events, including plant sales, art shows, and concerts. During the winter holiday season, the park features a festive light display, transforming it into a twinkling wonderland.
