About Fisher's Creek Park
A Green Escape in the Neighborhood
Situated in the Fisher's Creek area, this 1.9-acre community park offers a glimpse of outdoor tranquility right in the heart of the neighborhood. It's not massive, but what Fisher's Creek Park lacks in size, it makes up for in charm and practicality.
As you wander along the gravel walking paths, you'll get to soak in the park's natural beauty. There's something special about the northern edge where Fisher Creek meanders through a wetland area - it adds a touch of wilderness to this suburban green space.
Kid-Friendly Play Zone
Got little ones with energy to burn? The park's playground equipment is ideal for that. It's particularly well-suited for toddlers and younger children who need a safe place to climb, slide, and explore.
Just a heads-up: the swings hang a bit high, which might be tricky for the tiniest adventurers. And you might want to bring a towel after rainy days, as the play equipment can get pretty wet.
ADCannon Beach Hiking Tour on the Oregon Coast
The Oregon Coast is an experience like no other and our guides have selected a quieter, slower approach to the day: a visit to Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach; hikes through old-growth forests to views beyond what the common tourist sees; up-close encounters with the iconic monoliths that make the Oregon Coast so unusual; a lunch stop in a sweet beach town; recommendations for our favorite cinnamon rolls, pie or ice cream; sand (if you want it) between your toes. Day tours can feel long but ours feels more like a just-right exploration with plenty of time to sit however you like with the majesty of the ocean -- or spend most of your time wandering in the forest as you listen to waves crash beneath you.
Room to Breathe
The open lawn areas are perhaps the park's most versatile feature. Throw a frisbee, kick a soccer ball, spread out a picnic blanket, or just lie back and cloud-watch - it's your call. The space is generous enough that neighbors have used it for community celebrations, including Fourth of July gatherings.
There's a picnic table if you're planning to bring lunch or snacks. And yes, your four-legged friends are welcome too, just keep them leashed. You'll come across trash cans and dog waste bags scattered throughout, making it easy to keep the park clean for everyone.
Far From Just a Park
While small in footprint, Fisher's Creek Park plays an outsized role in bringing the community together. It's one of those places that helps transform a collection of houses into a true neighborhood.
You should note there aren't any restroom facilities here, so plan accordingly. The City of Vancouver keeps everything in good shape, with the park open daily from 5 AM to 10 PM.
