Park Overview

Set in Vancouver, Washington, Hockinson Meadows Community Park sprawls across 240 acres of green space. Developed in 2008-2009 as part of the Greater Clark Parks District initiative, about 70 acres were initially transformed into the recreational space we enjoy today.

Sitting at Vancouver's northeast urban edge, this park serves around 25,000 local residents who previously had nowhere nearby to toss a frisbee or enjoy a family picnic. It filled a significant gap in local recreation options.

Why It Matters

Both Vancouver city officials and Clark County planners identified Hockinson Meadows as their top-priority community park project for the entire Vancouver urban area. Its strategic location made it essential for serving this growing community.

Facilities and Activities

Whether you're a sports enthusiast or just looking to unwind, Hockinson offers a variety of options. The park features five baseball fields, two softball fields, and a spacious soccer field - all well-maintained throughout the year.

From baseball and t-ball to soccer matches, there's space for both organized leagues and casual weekend games. Need a break from the action? The park offers open meadows well-suited for flying kites or tossing a ball, along with picnic areas complete with tables.

Planning a gathering? The covered picnic shelter can be reserved for everything from family reunions to birthday celebrations.

Playground
