About Diamond Park
Park Overview
Found in east Vancouver, Washington, Diamond Park spans 5.3 acres of green space that's become a beloved retreat for the Parkside Neighborhood. This quiet, family-friendly park offers a well-kept environment where locals can unwind and enjoy the outdoors. If you're looking for a peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle, this park offers exactly that.
History and Development
The park came to life thanks to Real Estate Excise Tax funding and a generous land donation from Jack White - a perfect example of how community investment and individual generosity can create lasting public spaces.
ADCannon Beach Hiking Tour on the Oregon Coast
The Oregon Coast is an experience like no other and our guides have selected a quieter, slower approach to the day: a visit to Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach; hikes through old-growth forests to views beyond what the common tourist sees; up-close encounters with the iconic monoliths that make the Oregon Coast so unusual; a lunch stop in a sweet beach town; recommendations for our favorite cinnamon rolls, pie or ice cream; sand (if you want it) between your toes. Day tours can feel long but ours feels more like a just-right exploration with plenty of time to sit however you like with the majesty of the ocean -- or spend most of your time wandering in the forest as you listen to waves crash beneath you.
Amenities and Features
At the heart of Diamond Park lies a spacious open lawn area that's good for impromptu soccer games, volleyball matches, or simply spreading out a blanket for a relaxing afternoon. The lush landscape features mature trees, including towering pines toward the back of the park, while scattered forested areas add a touch of wilderness to your visit.
One of our favorite features has to be the paved walking paths that form a complete loop around the park. Whether you're taking your dog for a walk, getting in your daily steps, or just enjoying a leisurely stroll, these paths provide an ideal route. You'll find benches thoughtfully placed throughout, offering spots to catch your breath or simply sit and appreciate the surroundings.
Families will appreciate the well-equipped playground area with swings, monkey bars, and slides that keep the little ones entertained for hours. Active visitors can shoot some hoops at the basketball court or set up a game at the volleyball net.
Hungry after all that activity? The park's picnic tables make it easy to enjoy an outdoor meal. There's also a drinking fountain to keep you hydrated during your visit. Dog owners will be glad to know the park is dog-friendly and includes a waste station for convenience. The park features three separate entrances, however keep in mind that street parking can be limited.
Community Role
More than just a green space, Diamond Park is a community hub where neighbors connect, children play, and everyone can enjoy a moment of tranquility. Open daily from 5 AM to 10 PM, there's plenty of time to enjoy all the park has to offer throughout the seasons.
Additional Information
Note that there are no public restrooms available at Diamond Park, so plan accordingly for your visit.
