About Tower Crest Neighborhood Park
A Forest in the Neighborhood
Situated in the East Minnehaha area, this 4.6-acre haven offers a little touch of wilderness right in the middle of suburban life. The moment you step in, you're greeted by a dense stand of tall fir trees that create a natural canopy overhead. It's amazing how the temperature seems to drop a few degrees under these giants - a welcome relief during those warm summer months.
Wander the Wooded Paths
With about half a mile of paths crisscrossing the park, you've got options for your nature fix. Some paths are paved, others are simple dirt trails that give you that authentic forest-floor feeling beneath your feet. The main area is well-kept, while additional paths invite you deeper into the green heart of the park.
Planning an event? Make a reservation at this park
These trails aren't marathon routes by any means, but they're excellent for a peaceful stroll. Kids especially love zooming around on their scooters here, and there's something truly refreshing about walking among trees rather than buildings, even if just for a few minutes.
Play and Pause
The playground might not be massive, but it hits the spot for neighborhood families. There's a solid jungle gym and other play equipment that keeps the little ones entertained while parents can take a breather on one of the benches scattered throughout.
Dog owners will appreciate the thoughtful touch of a dog-friendly water fountain - because our four-legged friends need refreshment too! There aren't any restrooms here, but given the park's compact size and neighborhood focus, it makes sense.
A Brief History
This green space is relatively new to Vancouver's park scene, with construction beginning in 2016.
The Neighborhood's Living Room
Despite its modest footprint, Tower Crest functions as a neighborhood gathering space - like a shared backyard where neighbors can unwind, play, and bump into each other on weekend mornings.
Own a local business? Promote it right here
What makes this place special isn't grand amenities or spectacular views, but rather its "mini forest" experience right within the city. It's a great spot for those moments when you need trees around you but don't have time for a proper hiking expedition. For nearby residents, it's that quick nature fix that helps keep life balanced.
