About Lake View Heights Park
Recreational Facilities
Need a place to shoot some hoops? Lake View Heights Park features an asphalt basketball court, great for a casual game with friends or just working on your jump shot. If you've got little ones in tow, the playground area features various climbing structures where kids can burn off energy and have a blast outdoors.
The park has a multipurpose field that's basically a blank canvas for whatever activity you're in the mood for. Frisbee, soccer, or just sprawling out on a blanket - this flexible space adapts to whatever the day calls for.
Park Amenities
A notable feature here is the open-air shelter complete with a fireplace - a rare find that adds a touch of coziness to outdoor gatherings. You can actually reserve this spot for small get-togethers, and with about four picnic tables in and around the shelter, it's ideal for family lunches or catching up with friends over a meal outdoors.
Getting here is straightforward with street parking available nearby. At 2.78 acres, this mini park on Sunfield Street isn't huge, but it packs in plenty of options for the surrounding community.

History
This park comes with some genuine neighborhood character. Back in the 1950s, local dads rolled up their sleeves and built what was called the 'warming house' - named because it served ice skaters during winter months. During that era, the park featured two ice rinks that became winter hotspots for the community.
Today, Lake View Heights Park is a popular spot for families with young children who live within walking distance.
