Quarry Park's hilly terrain and diverse ecosystems reflect its past life as a stone quarry, and that history gives the nearly 17-acre space at the edge of Madison a character that's hard to replicate. It sits right next to residential neighborhoods while still feeling like a proper woodland retreat.

The thick tree coverage creates an immersive forest vibe that makes you forget you're still in the city. One minute you're on a suburban street, the next you're surrounded by rustling leaves and birdsong.

Trail Network

The trail system here is probably what you'll notice first. There's a thoughtful layout with multi-use paths as well as dedicated routes just for bikers or hikers.

Dog-Friendly Spot

Quarry Park welcomes four-legged friends, as long as they're on a leash. The shaded pathways and interesting smells make it a hit with local pups and their humans alike.

Just note that you should come prepared when bringing your dog - waste disposal bins are mainly found at the entrance, so you might need to carry waste for a bit during your walk.
