Country Grove Park

Country Grove Park is a large community park located on the west side of Madison, Wisconsin at 7353 East Pass. The park spans 43.84 acres, with about 22 acres dedicated to greenways used for stormwater management and conveyance. These greenway areas include mapped wetlands and floodways, limiting the potential for amenities in those sections.

In 2020, the park expanded eastward with the addition of 12 acres, including 5.11 acres of usable park space and 7.23 acres of greenway. This expansion brought the total park area to its current size. The park is situated near other recreational spaces such as Sandstone Park, Manchester Park, and Chavez Elementary School, which provides additional amenities.

Country Grove Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for the community. The park features open spaces with soccer nets and a softball backstop, catering to sports enthusiasts. For those who enjoy cycling or walking, the park provides bike path access. Basketball enthusiasts can make use of the park's basketball court.

Families with children will appreciate the playground area, which offers a space for younger visitors to play and explore. The park also includes a reservable shelter with public restrooms, set to open in 2025, providing a convenient space for community gatherings and events.

The park's master plan, approved in May 2023, aims to further develop and enhance the park's offerings to better serve the community's needs. With its mix of open spaces, recreational facilities, and natural areas, Country Grove Park serves as a valuable community resource for outdoor activities and enjoyment.
