Zook Park

History

The land that is now Zook Park once belonged to John S. Zook (1887-1980) before the City of Madison purchased it in 1976. Initially called Summit Park, it eventually took on its current name. Today it's a cozy 2-acre green space on the southwest side of Madison, Wisconsin.

Features

This little neighborhood park might not be massive, but it offers a lovely open field area where you can toss a frisbee, kick a soccer ball around, or simply stretch out on a blanket with a good book.

Zook Park is a serene location within the community. You'll find picnic tables and benches scattered throughout, excellent for enjoying a sandwich while watching the clouds roll by or catching up with a friend over coffee in the morning sunshine.

Amenities for Families

Got kids with energy to burn? The park includes a playground where little ones can climb and explore. The variety of swing options caters to children of different ages, from toddlers to older kids who want to pump their legs and go higher.
