Alcott Park

What You'll Find Here

One of the first things you'll notice at Alcott Park is the oval path circling the grounds. At about 0.3 miles around, it's great for a quick jog or a leisurely stroll, nicely paved, wide enough that you won't feel cramped, and kept in good condition year-round.

The park spans 16.8 acres in a quiet suburban neighborhood in southwestern Milwaukee, Wisconsin, near the Greenfield border, making it the go-to recreational spot for locals looking to enjoy some fresh air and outdoor fun.

Natural Setting

The park strikes a nice balance between developed recreational areas and natural space. With its expansive grassy fields and scattered trees and shrubs, Alcott offers a refreshing pocket of greenery amid the surrounding urban landscape.

The open fields provide plenty of room to toss a frisbee, have a picnic, or simply lie back and watch the clouds. The park's well-maintained grounds contribute to its peaceful vibe, making it easy to forget you're still in the city.

Family-Friendly Fun

If you're visiting with kids, the splash pad and wading pool are absolute highlights during summer months. When temperatures climb, you'll find local families flocking here so their little ones can cool off and splash around.

The tot lot and play area goes beyond your typical playground fare. Instead of just the standard slides and swings, you can find more interesting climbing structures and unique equipment that keeps children of all ages engaged and entertained.

And yes, there are restroom facilities on-site - a small but crucial detail when you're planning to spend a few hours at the park with family.

Get Active

Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the basketball and tennis courts available for pickup games or practice sessions. These facilities, combined with the open fields, give you plenty of options to stay active, whether you prefer structured sports or just throwing a ball around.
