About the Location
Batter Up at Schoenecker
Sprawling across 17.5 acres of Milwaukee's landscape, Schoenecker Park is a popular spot for baseball enthusiasts. With four baseball diamonds dotting the grounds, including one that's illuminated for evening games, this park keeps the spirit of America's pastime alive well after sunset.
No matter if you're watching the competitive edge of adult league players or cheering on young sluggers during Little League matchups, there's always some action to catch during baseball season. The lighted field is particularly handy for those summer evenings when the game just can't wait until tomorrow.
Beyond the Diamond
Not in the mood to play ball? No problem. Schoenecker offers peaceful green spaces where you can spread out a blanket and enjoy the day. The walking paths weaving through the park provide a wonderful route for your morning jog or an afternoon stroll. Scattered shrubs and trees not only add to the scenery but also offer welcome patches of shade during those warm Wisconsin summers.
Fresh Look Coming Soon
Schoenecker is getting a makeover! Starting in Fall 2023 and scheduled to wrap up by April 2024, the park is undergoing some exciting changes. You'll soon enjoy games under brand-new field lighting and find parking much easier thanks to a freshly constructed parking lot.
These enhancements are connected to a bigger project involving the reconstruction of Milwaukee County's North Shop just east of the park - which will enhance the park's facilities.
