The Arlington-West End area holds the distinction of being the oldest among Birmingham's 99 neighborhoods, with history stretching back to the mid-19th century - even before Birmingham officially became a city. Harrison Park sits right in the middle of that history, spanning 6.55 acres of green space in the Oakwood Place neighborhood.
