About the Location

What You Can Do Here

Spread across nearly 38.2 acres, Phillips Park gives you plenty of room to breathe and play. It's a popular spot for Huntsville locals looking to enjoy the outdoors.

The park has several baseball fields that are well-maintained. They're equipped with modern LED lighting for evening games and practices. They're suitable for everything from kids' t-ball matches to recreational league games.

If baseball isn't your thing, there's also a basketball court where you can shoot some hoops or join a pickup game.

Fun for Everyone

Got little ones with energy to burn? Phillips Park features three separate playground areas where kids can climb, slide, and swing to their hearts' content. These playspaces include rock climbing walls, slides, tunnels, and swings. The younger crowd seems to especially love the rocking cars and the small carousel. For the tiny tots, there's even a sandbox with sand toys where they can build castles and dig to their heart's content.

If you're looking for something more low-key, take a stroll along the walking trails that meander through the park. There's also a dedicated walking track if you prefer a more structured path for your daily exercise.

Helpful Amenities

When hunger strikes during game days, head to the concession stand for a quick bite or refreshment.

You can find clean, modern restrooms open during games. If you visit when they're closed, don't worry - there are port-a-potties available near the parking lot entrance.

When it's time for a picnic, grab a spot at the pavilion with picnic tables by the concession building. There's also a smaller, more intimate picnic area tucked away in a garden space on one side of the park.

Community Vibes

The open green spaces are ideal for spreading out a blanket, tossing a frisbee, or just soaking up some vitamin D.

Phillips Park accommodates many different activities and age groups, whether you're interested in sports, have kids who need to burn off energy, or just want to enjoy some fresh air.

Just a couple of things to note: dogs aren't allowed anywhere in the park, including the walking paths. And heads up - parking can get tight during sporting events, so it's a good idea to arrive early if you can.
