Park Overview

Found in the heart of Gilbert, Arizona, Freestone Park spreads across 88 acres of recreational space. Since opening its gates in 1988 as Gilbert's first major district park, this green oasis has evolved into the community's go-to spot for outdoor fun and relaxation.

Lakes and Fishing

At the center of the park's tranquil landscape are two shimmering lakes covering 5 acres. Fed with reclaimed water, these lakes aren't just pretty to look at - they're stocked for fishing as part of the Community Fishing Program. Fish typically start making their appearance around September or October each year.
