Next to the historic Grand Canal in Glendale, Arizona, the Grand Canal Linear Park stretches for a lovely 4.5 miles from 75th Avenue and Camelback Road all the way to 97th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. This green space follows the canal's natural path, providing a nice break from city life.

One thing we like about this park is the tree coverage lining the paths. These trees provide shade during Arizona's warmer months and create a green corridor that feels more natural than urban. The lot isn't huge, but additional parking spots are available at various points along the trail. Some access points only offer street parking in nearby neighborhoods, so plan accordingly.

Note that restroom facilities are limited or unavailable at certain entry points. If facilities are a priority for your visit, you might want to access the park from Glendale Heroes Regional Park instead.

Dog owners, you're in luck - the park is pet-friendly, and you'll regularly see people walking their four-legged friends along the trails. Just remember to clean up after your pup to keep the park enjoyable for everyone.
