Kiwanis Park
About Kiwanis Park
Recreational Facilities
Tucked away in Yuma, this cozy 8-acre community park has something for everyone. We absolutely love the half-mile lighted walking track that winds through the grounds - it's well-maintained and great for evening strolls or morning jogs when you need some fresh air.
If you're into team sports, you'll appreciate the practice fields for softball, baseball, football, and soccer. Just a heads-up about the soccer field: while it's nicely spacious, you might notice some gravel scattered across the playing surface, and the ground can feel pretty firm (it's flood-irrigated, which explains the hardness).
Unique Features
What sets Kiwanis Park apart is its dedicated area for remote-controlled vehicles - a fun little detail that always brings a smile to our faces watching enthusiasts zoom their miniature cars around.
There are plenty of open spaces too, meant for throwing a frisbee, having an impromptu game of catch, or just spreading out a blanket to relax.
Family Amenities
Planning a get-together? The park has several picnic areas with ramadas (those covered pavilions that provide blessed shade in the Arizona heat) and BBQ grills where you can cook up something delicious while the kids play nearby.
And for those bringing four-legged friends along, you'll come across dog waste stations around the park - a small but important touch that helps keep this community space clean and enjoyable for everyone.
