If you're eight or eighty, Mountain View Park offers something for all ages. Got kids? The playground area features two separate structures - a smaller one excellent for the little ones, and a taller, more challenging setup where older children can test their climbing skills. There are swings and sand pits too, but fair warning: the sand could sometimes use a refresh.

Sports fans haven't been forgotten. The park includes basketball courts and lighted tennis courts that let you keep playing even after sunset. And if you're into pickleball, you'll be happy to know the courts accommodate that too.

Looking for something more laid-back? Grab one of the picnic tables for lunch or an early dinner. When those are taken (as they often are on beautiful weekends), just throw a blanket down on one of the spacious grassy areas instead.

Beyond the Basics

Mountain View Park offers more than just playgrounds and picnic tables. There are horseshoe pits if you're interested in a game. More of a cornhole enthusiast? That's available too.

Practical matters haven't been overlooked - there are restroom facilities on-site, though they might not be the most updated you've ever seen. And keep an eye out for the park's resident squirrels, who seem to have figured out they've got a pretty good thing going here.

Finding Your Way

Situated between Disney Studios and an equestrian center, the park sometimes offers the unexpected sight of horses and riders passing through - a little slice of old California in the middle of Burbank. You can find it at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Griffith Park Drive.

There's no dedicated parking lot within the park itself, but you can usually find street parking nearby. The gates are open from 6 AM to midnight daily, giving you plenty of time to enjoy this little oasis.
