Located on W. Santa Anita Avenue in a peaceful residential pocket of Burbank, the Santa Anita Playlot offers a little oasis of calm away from the city buzz. It's one of those secluded areas that makes up Burbank's network of 42 parks and facilities, overseen by the Burbank Parks and Recreation department.

Kid-Friendly Play Spaces

The playlot provides a spot where little ones can burn off some energy. The playlot features thoughtfully designed play structures for children of different ages - smaller equipment for the tots and more challenging options for the bigger kids. The variety keeps children engaged, while parents can take a breather and watch them explore.

Families often gather here, and children tend to make new friends while playing. The playground area is clean and well-maintained - helpful when spending hours watching children play.

A Touch of Green

Beyond the playground equipment, there's a welcoming open grassy area meant for stretching out with a book, having a small picnic, or just letting the kids run free. The lawn space adds a nice natural element to balance out the playground equipment.

Note that there aren't any public restrooms here, which can be challenging for longer visits. Also, the water fountain apparently doesn't work, so you'll want to bring your own water bottles, especially during those warm California afternoons.

When to Visit

Technically, the park is open 24 hours, however it makes the most sense to visit during daylight hours for both enjoyment and safety.
