Park Overview

Located in northwest Chico, DeGarmo Community Park spreads across a generous 36 acres of outdoor goodness. Born from a partnership between the City of Chico and the Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD), this park has become the go-to spot for North Chico residents looking for some fresh air and recreation.

The park is notably clean and well-maintained, standing out compared to many neighborhood parks. While its location near the freeway makes it super accessible, you might catch some background traffic noise during peak hours. Small price to pay for such a versatile space, though!

Recreational Facilities

DeGarmo offers plenty of options for physical activity. The multi-use turf fields are ideal for impromptu soccer games or just tossing a frisbee around. If softball is more your speed, the youth softball fields here are widely considered some of the finest in Chico.
