About Mesa Verde Park
Park Overview
Found in Costa Mesa's residential landscape, Mesa Verde Park offers 2.5 acres of green refuge for the local community. Named after the surrounding Mesa Verde housing development, this nearby park has been serving residents since its dedication on June 29, 1959.
Amenities and Features
While it may not be the largest park around, Mesa Verde packs in plenty of opportunities for outdoor enjoyment. The park's layout strikes a nice balance between open grassy spaces fantastic for throwing down a blanket and relaxing, and more structured areas for active recreation.
Kids will enjoy the children's playground with its swings and slides set on a sand base. It's best suited for the 5-12 age group, and parents can breathe a little easier knowing the play area sits well away from street traffic.
ADPrivate Surf Lesson in Huntington Beach - Bolsa Chica State Beach
Our mission is to bring the joy and magical healing powers of surfing to those who want to learn and those who never had the opportunity. We are a team of experienced ocean-conscious surfers and lifeguards who are considerate, patient, First Aid/CPR Certified, and love teaching our passion for surfing and the ocean to others.
Picnic Areas
Fancy a meal in the fresh air? The park features a small picnic area complete with BBQ grills where you can cook up some outdoor favorites. A picnic shelter provides welcome cover whether you're dodging unexpected rain or seeking shade on sunny Southern California days.
Design and Environment
Mesa Verde Park blends natural elements with practical recreational spaces. Mature trees line portions of the park, creating natural borders and offering patches of cool shade throughout the day. The open fields come alive on weekends, with impromptu ball games and casual sports bringing energy to this community space.
Community Use
More than just a park, this green space is a neighborhood hub where residents connect and unwind. It's the kind of place where you might run into neighbors or make new friends while enjoying a bit of outdoor time in the Mesa Verde area.
