Johnston Park

Park Overview

Johnston Park was named after Carl Johnston, the founder of North Sacramento, thanks to a generous land donation from the North Sacramento Land Company. The park spans nearly 27 acres in Elk Grove, California, giving locals a wide green space to play, relax, and connect with nature.

Sports and Recreation

If you're looking to break a sweat or join a game, you're in luck! The park houses several softball fields, soccer fields, and a baseball field where friendly matches and league games regularly unfold.

Planning a casual outdoor meal? The park offers picnic areas with tables - just remember they work on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early on busy weekends might save you some trouble.

Family-Friendly Features

Got kids with energy to burn? The playground designed for children aged 5-12 provides an ideal spot for little ones to climb, slide, and make new friends while you take a well-deserved break.

No need to cut your park day short for bathroom breaks or worry about parking - Johnston Park comes equipped with clean restrooms and a convenient parking lot.
