Eader Park
About Eader Park
A Peaceful Neighborhood Retreat
Situated in Huntington Beach, California, Eader Park is a cozy nearby retreat that's recently had a lovely makeover. At 2.68 acres, it's not huge, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm. Nestled right beside Banning Library and an elementary school, this little green haven offers locals an ideal spot to unwind and connect with nature.
Where the Kids Play
The highlight for families has to be the modern playground that reopened in September 2023. There's something special about its design - rubber matting shaped like a flower creates a safe, bouncy surface for little ones to play on. Kids can challenge themselves on various climbing apparatuses, zoom down slides, check out the spinning/rocking zone, or use the communication board that makes play accessible for everyone.
The swing set is a classic favorite, featuring two infant swings for the tiny tots, two regular swings for bigger kids, and a tire swing that's great for those seeking a bit more adventure.
What You'll Find
Beyond the playground, you'll discover open grassy areas and a soccer field that's fantastic for impromptu games or just running around. A smooth paved path winds through the space - ideal for a leisurely stroll or a quick bike ride. Scattered throughout are several benches where you can sit back with a book, enjoy a picnic, or just watch the world go by.
The park is pretty sun-soaked with limited tree coverage, so you might want to bring a hat on bright days. There are trash bins available to keep things tidy, and while your four-legged friends are welcome, note that there aren't any specific dog amenities.
Getting Around
One of the best things about Eader Park is how accessible it is for nearby residents - it's truly a neighborhood park in every sense. The entire space is designed with handicapped accessibility in mind. Just be aware that there are no public restrooms or water fountains, so plan accordingly.
You can park in the small lot or find street parking nearby. The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to 9PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy this little glimpse of outdoor tranquility.
