Carr Park

History and Dedication

Carr Park, spanning 10.72 acres in Huntington Beach, California, was dedicated on April 8, 1972. The park was named after Chris Carr, a World War II Medal of Honor recipient and longtime Huntington Beach resident.

Location and Features

Situated across the street from St. Bonaventure Church, Carr Park offers a tranquil green space for local residents. The park features open play areas and children's play areas, providing ample space for recreational activities.

One of the park's notable features is its lake, which allows for fishing opportunities. The lake is regularly stocked with fish during warm months, with trout being added starting in November. Visitors should note that a fishing permit is required.

The park's landscape includes a mix of grassy areas and trees, creating a pleasant environment for visitors. Concrete pathways wind around the park, making it ideal for leisurely strolls.

Wildlife and Nature
