Riverbend Park
About Riverbend Park
Recreational Facilities
Opened in 2019, Riverbend Park is a nice outdoor space in the local community. The park's 9-hole disc golf course features some pretty challenging long holes that'll give even seasoned players a run for their money.
Just a friendly heads-up: watch out for walkers when you're playing, especially near the playground area where some holes are located. Basketball enthusiasts haven't been forgotten either - there are two half courts ideal for shooting some hoops or getting a quick pickup game going.
And if you're looking to squeeze in a workout, you can find outdoor exercise machines scattered throughout the park. The machines provide a good opportunity to exercise outdoors.
Park Features
Need a spot for lunch or a family gathering? The park offers plenty of covered picnic tables both near the playground and in the lower section. These shaded areas provide a great retreat when the California sun is doing its thing.
Getting around is a breeze thanks to the paved trails that wind through the grounds. Regardless of whether you're walking, jogging, or biking, these smooth paths make exploring the park accessible for everyone. If horseback riding is more your style, you'll appreciate the dedicated horse trails available too.
The lush grassy areas add a touch of natural beauty and offer plenty of space to toss a frisbee or simply relax with a good book. One of the park's hidden escapes is its proximity to the Santa Ana River, making it a surprisingly good fishing spot in spring. You might just reel in some carp, catfish, bass, or crappie if luck is on your side.
Playground Area
In the upper section of the park sits a modern playground with unique play structures. Children enjoy the unique creature designs incorporated into the play structures.
The equipment is well-maintained and offers options for children of various ages. There's plenty of room not just for playground fun, but also for kids to ride bikes and scooters in the surrounding area - a good space for active children.
Visitor Information
When nature calls, you can find restroom facilities available around the park. They're typically clean, though sometimes they close earlier than expected, so plan accordingly.
One of the nicest things about Riverbend is that it rarely feels crowded. It's tucked away in a residential area, offering a calm, clean environment where you can actually hear yourself think. The park's elevated position offers some pretty spectacular views, making it a favorite spot for family photos or watching seasonal events like fireworks displays.
You can visit from 7AM to 10PM daily, giving you plenty of time to enjoy everything the park has to offer. And yes, your four-legged friends are welcome too - Riverbend is dog-friendly, just remember to keep them leashed as required by park rules.
