This little urban oasis has both indoor and outdoor spots to keep you active. Step inside and you'll discover a gymnasium with weights where you can pump some iron or join in various indoor sports. The indoor basketball courts are nicely lit, so you can keep shooting hoops even after the sun goes down.

Outside, there are well-lit handball courts for those quick-paced games, and a children's play area that was recently given a makeover. The playground has a variety of swings, slides, and climbing frames for children to enjoy. Need to catch your breath? The park has some picnic tables and a modest grassy area where you can spread out a blanket, enjoy a sandwich, or simply soak up some sunshine.

Skate Park

A highlight of the park is the skate park, which attracts skaters of all skill levels from beginners to experienced. With its mix of ramps, rails, and ledges, there's something for skaters at every level. A nice bonus is the shaded area - a real lifesaver when the California sun is beating down.

Tucked between Atwater Village and Glendale and just off the 5 freeway, it's super easy to find. Just a heads-up though: the concrete can get a bit slick, so make sure you've got your proper skating gear on.

Additional Amenities

Chevy Chase doesn't stop there. You'll also find a multipurpose sports field and a spacious grassy area that's great for letting your four-legged friend stretch their legs. Looking for something different? Try your hand at the horseshoe pits, or make use of the kitchen and patio for your next family gathering.

The park has restrooms on-site (though you might want to bring your own TP, just in case). Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the exercise machines scattered throughout, and there's even a yoga path with helpful signs showing different poses - excellent for a self-guided stretching session.

Programs and Activities

If you're looking to join organized activities, you're in luck. Chevy Chase offers a whole slate of sports programs including baseball, dance, softball, basketball, soccer futsal, martial arts, volleyball, various fitness classes, dodgeball, skating and skateboarding, frisbee sports, equestrian activities, track and field, and the ever-popular pickleball.

For the culturally inclined, there are afterschool activities, camps, music programs, and Enrich LA initiatives. It's a place where locals of all ages come to play, exercise, and socialize.
