City Terrace Park

Historical Significance

Established in 1933, City Terrace Park has served as a vital recreational area for the local community for decades. The park spans 15.3 acres of public green space in East Los Angeles, California.

One of the park's most distinctive features is its use of Arizona red sandstone in various structures and amenities. These sandstone elements were salvaged from the demolished 19th-century Los Angeles County Courthouse, adding a unique historical touch to the park's landscape.

The reclaimed sandstone bricks, bearing the marks of their past, form a historic boulder garden between the playground and baseball field, and also line the northern end of the park.
