Historic Significance

Established in 1872 as an agricultural fairground, the 160-acre urban park has evolved into a significant cultural and recreational center for the city.

World-Class Museums

The park is home to several prestigious institutions. These include the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, known for its impressive Dinosaur Hall featuring over 300 fossils and 20 complete dinosaur skeletons.

The California Science Center, another major attraction, houses various interactive exhibits and is the permanent home of the Space Shuttle Endeavour.

Exposition Park also features the California African American Museum, which offers unique perspectives on African American history and culture.

Sporting Venues

The park's sporting facilities are equally notable, with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum serving as a centerpiece. This historic stadium has hosted two Olympic Games (1932 and 1984) and is slated to host events for the 2028 Olympics.
