About Aqueduct Park
Playground Perks
Let's talk about that playground - it got a serious glow-up thanks to Measure H (hooray for voters!). Out went the old sand and tired equipment, in came better drainage, and of course, brand new play structures for the kiddos.
The renovation brought ADA ramps made of concrete and added wood chips for a safer landing zone when little ones take those inevitable tumbles. Just a heads-up though: those wood chips can be a bit clingy - don't be surprised if you're picking them off shoes and clothes after a play session!
Outdoor Hangout Spots
For those seeking fresh air, there are several picnic areas with tables and shelters - excellent for everything from birthday celebrations to casual weekend lunches. You'll appreciate the generous shade trees scattered throughout when those California temps start climbing.
If you're feeling sporty, head to the soccer facilities for a quick match. Not into organized sports? No problem. The large open field gives kids plenty of room to run wild or for you to toss a frisbee around.
ADA Highway 49 Drive: A Self-Guided Audio Tour from Angels Camp to Jamestown
Experience Highway 49 in a whole new way with this affordable driving tour along Calaveras County. • Take in some of California’s amazing natural wonders and the southern Gold Rush towns of Murphys, Sonora and Jamestown • Hear from producer Lynn Momboisse, a California native with a penchant for telling stories • Do it all in 150 minutes or linger at stops along the way with complete control over when you start and finish • Get unlimited use before your booking date and after it • Use the virtual tour option at home Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive a ticket with instructions and a unique code listed under “Before You Go”.
Practical Stuff
When nature calls, you'll discover restroom facilities available during regular park hours. Fair warning: some of the doors might not shut completely, so privacy isn't exactly five-star hotel level here.
Planning to cook outdoors? The park offers BBQ grills where you can flip burgers while the kids play nearby. It's these thoughtful basics that make Aqueduct a solid choice for a day of outdoor fun.
Getting Your Bearings
Just so you know, the park sits right next to a school and borders a fairly busy street. If you've got little explorers, you'll want to keep them within sight, especially near the edges of the park. Despite being in the middle of Modesto, it still manages to provide a welcome green escape for local families looking to connect and play.
