A Tranquil Retreat

Creekside Park has been refreshing the Ontario, California community since August 1990, and over the years it's become a shared space for both students from Grace Yokley Middle School and locals looking for a moment of calm. The 6.2-acre park sits at the northeast corner of Riverside Drive and Turner Avenue.

The park lives up to its name with serene creekside pathways that meander through lush greenery, creating a fantastic backdrop for clearing your mind. If you're a morning person, the well-kept trails are especially good for a sunrise walk or jog while birds provide nature's soundtrack.

Recreational Amenities

At the heart of the park, you'll come across an expansive turf area that's great for impromptu soccer games, frisbee tosses, or simply sprawling out with a good book. Kids enjoy the playground, which features modern equipment including a zip line that's popular with younger visitors. The play area is thoughtfully designed with the little ones in mind, particularly suited for the 2-5 age group, but older children will find plenty to enjoy too.

Sports enthusiasts, you haven't been forgotten! The park has basketball courts for pickup games, tennis courts, and a pickleball court for the increasingly popular paddle sport.

Picnic Facilities

If you're planning a family reunion or just a casual lunch outdoors, Creekside has a mix of covered and uncovered picnic areas. Tables are scattered throughout the grounds, with a convenient cluster positioned near the playground so you can munch while keeping an eye on the kids. Feeling like some grilled treats? Help yourself to the BBQ grills that dot the picnic areas - just remember to bring your own charcoal!

You'll find all the essentials here - clean restrooms and a small but adequate parking lot. Dog lovers can bring their furry friends for some exercise, however most people keep their pups leashed out of courtesy to other visitors.

Note that you might occasionally see postings about local wildlife in the area. It's always good to stay alert, especially during those quiet early mornings or as dusk settles over the park.
