Hermosa Park is a 9-acre community park located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The park offers a variety of recreational facilities and open spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy.

The park features two playgrounds catering to different age groups. There is a larger playground with more complex equipment for older children, including a long tunnel, rope wall, rock climbing wall, and various jungle gym elements.

A smaller playground is available specifically for toddlers and younger children, equipped with slides, a step ladder, bridge, tunnel, spring riders, and swings. Both playground areas are well-maintained and clean, making them popular spots for families.

Sports Areas

One of the park's main attractions is its baseball field, which is suitable for younger age groups as it lacks outfield fencing. Each dugout is equipped with a bench, though there is no shade cover.

Trees surrounding the field provide some shade for players and spectators.

Hermosa Park includes a large grassy open field in the southern part of the park, often used for soccer games and other activities like football and frisbee. The spacious, open area is also perfect for flying kites, especially in the late afternoon when wind conditions are favorable.

Walking and Exercise Options

A 0.38-mile sidewalk encircles the entire park, connecting all its features and providing a convenient walking path for visitors. Many locals use this loop for jogging, running, and walking their dogs.

The park also incorporates an exercise trail with various equipment stations along the sidewalks, including monkey bars, a balance bar, and other fitness-oriented installations. This feature adds to the park's appeal for those looking to incorporate exercise into their visit.

Picnic and Social Areas

Hermosa Park offers excellent picnic facilities with multiple seating areas throughout the grounds. Two covered picnic shelters are available for reservation, while additional tables operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Many of the picnic areas include charcoal BBQ grills, making the park a popular venue for birthday parties and family gatherings. The shaded areas with clean tables provide comfortable spaces to relax and enjoy meals outdoors.

Amenities and Parking

Convenience is a priority at Hermosa Park, with clean public restrooms available in the center of the park. These facilities are well-maintained and regularly stocked.

Drinking fountains are located throughout the park, providing refreshment for visitors of all ages.

The park is dog-friendly, with many visitors bringing their pets to enjoy the walking paths. Visitors with dogs should bring their own waste bags as dispensers may not always be available.

The park offers parking, with 43 regular spots and 2 handicapped spots in the main lot off Hamilton Street. Additional parking is available at the adjacent Deer Canyon Elementary School and on Hamilton Street, though during busy times parking can be limited.

Duck Pond

Adding to the park's natural features is a duck pond that enhances the peaceful atmosphere. This serene water feature attracts various waterfowl and provides a tranquil spot for relaxation and wildlife observation.
