Patterson Park is a 4.3-acre public park located in Riverside, California. This neighborhood park offers recreational facilities for residents of all ages.

The park features a wood chip surface playground with various play structures and swings, providing entertainment for children of different age groups.

Sports Amenities

For sports enthusiasts, Patterson Park includes a baseball field suitable for both baseball and softball games. The field measures 200 feet from home base to the outfield fence, making it ideal for younger age groups.

The ballfield is equipped with stadium lights, allowing for evening games and extended play hours. Additionally, there are 10 rows of bleachers on each side for spectators, though shade is limited.

A half-court basketball area is available near the parking lot, complete with lines for three-pointers, free throws, and mid-court shots. The court also features benches and lighting for nighttime use.

Future Developments

Patterson Park is set to undergo significant renovations thanks to a $7,150,000 state grant awarded in 2021. The planned improvements include the addition of a jogging/walking loop, two soccer fields, a full basketball court, and six fitness nodes.

The project also encompasses a splash pad, a community plaza, a new restroom and storage building, two playgrounds with shade structures, public art installations, and various landscaping enhancements.
