Tucked between office buildings and residential zones near the UCSF campus, Mission Bay Commons Park spreads out over two acres of inviting lawn and greenery. It's become something of a neighborhood living room for the bustling Mission Bay area - a place where the community naturally gravitates as this part of San Francisco continues to evolve.

What You'll Find Here

The park's design connects the east and west sides of the neighborhood while offering some variety in its spaces. You'll come across quiet corners for relaxation alongside more active spaces where kids (and the young at heart) can burn off some energy.

One thing we appreciate about this space is its versatility - the paved areas are perfectly suited for everything from casual gatherings to more organized events, giving the Commons a flexible, adaptable personality.

Getting Around

You'll have no trouble navigating this welcoming space. The perimeter is lined with sidewalks and trees, while interior pathways guide you through the different sections of the park. Behind the Scenes

As of July 1, 2023, Mission Bay Commons Park has joined other parks in the area under the management of the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. This change represents an important step in the evolution of Mission Bay, a neighborhood whose transformation began back in 1998.
