Located in northeastern San Jose, Berryessa Creek Park spans a modest 13.5 acres along its namesake Berryessa Creek. Got kids of different ages? No problem. The park has separate playground areas - one designed for the little ones (ages 2-5) and another for the bigger kids (ages 5-12). In the evenings, these playgrounds become gathering spots for families after the workday. Its convenient location next to a school makes it an ideal spot for after-school energy release!

Beyond the playground fun, Berryessa Creek Park offers several ways to stay active. There's an unlighted softball field well-suited for casual games, and an exercise course for those looking to squeeze in a workout. The large open lawn area is good for impromptu soccer matches, frisbee tosses, or other field games.

Feeling hungry after all that activity? The park features non-reservable picnic areas complete with barbecue grills - ideal for family gatherings or casual weekend cookouts. The spacious grassy areas provide plenty of room to spread out a blanket and enjoy some outdoor dining.

Good to Know

The park welcomes visitors around the clock, making it well-suited for early morning jogs or evening strolls. Note that there aren't any public restrooms available, so plan accordingly.

Looking Ahead

As a linear park following the creek's path, Berryessa Creek Park is part of a bigger vision for northeast San Jose. There are plans to potentially develop a trail corridor between Piedmont Road and Morrill Road along the creek. Though not fully realized yet, these future developments could enhance the park's connectivity and recreational value for the community.
