About Spring Meadow Park in Thousand Oaks
Spring Meadow Park is a 7-acre neighborhood park located in Thousand Oaks, California. Situated on the southwest corner of Olsen Road and Spring Meadow Avenue, near California Lutheran University, this public space was acquired in 1978 and developed into a park in 1987.
In 2018, the park underwent significant improvements to enhance its facilities and appeal. These upgrades included irrigation system enhancements, the installation of fitness equipment, and the addition of a new permeable asphalt walking path. The park's landscaping was also refreshed, and the existing playground was renovated. As part of the improvements, cornhole equipment was added to diversify recreational options.
One of Spring Meadow Park's unique features is an open naturalized flood channel that bisects the park. This natural element adds character to the landscape and divides the park into two distinct sections. A walking path connects both sides of the park, allowing visitors to explore the entire area.
The park is open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, providing ample opportunity for community members to enjoy its facilities throughout the day.
